Du’a after azan

After hearing the adhan (prayer call), we say;

“Allahumma Rabba hathihid-Daawatit tammah, wassalatil Qa imah ati Muhammadan al waseelata wal fadeelah, wab aathu maqaman mahmoodan allathee wa aadth”

And it means:”O Allah, Owner of this perfect call and Owner of this prayer to be performed, bestow upon Muhammad al waseelah (a station in Paradise) and al fadeelah (a rank above the rest of creation) and send him upon a raised platform”.

The statement that i omitted from the dua innaka la tukhliful mi’ad “Verily, You never fail in Your Promise.” Shaykh Al-Albaanee said: “As for the additional phrase, ‘Verily you never fail in Your promise,’ that is found in the last part of the hadeeth collected by al-Bayhaqee, it is shaath (contradictory to what has been authentically reported).This supplication is saheeh (authentic) except for the last phrase (‘Verily you never fail in Your promise” which is dha’eef due to its contradiction to what has been authentically reported”.
